2 Samuel 2 Inquired
Verse 1 In the course of time, David inquired of the LORD. "Shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah?" he asked. The LORD said, " Go up." David asked, "Where shall I go?" "To Hebron," the LORD answered. Have a relationship with Jesus as your Savior. Let Him be your LORD /be in fellowship with Jesus and He will let us know to stop/no, wait, or go/yes. It is a daily thing. We won't master being in fellowship with Him. We need to constantly humble ourselves because we are ba-

1 John 1 Claim
Verse 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. If we keep pretending to be in fellowship with Jesus and keep sinning like we do no wrong, then we are liars and Jesus is not really our Savior and Lord. Don't fool ourselves. We can't fool God.

1 Samuel 31 Bones Buried
Verse 13 Then they took their bones and buried them under a tamarisk tree at Jabesh, and they fasted seven days. War is awful. There are people who have to be there to bring in the dead and give them a proper burial. They mourned. It makes me think of the spiritual dead. We needs to go in and and stand in the gap and pray. Some make it and some don't. Our job is not to fix them, but let God. Cry out to God for them.

1 Samuel 30 Succeed In The Rescue
Verse 8 and David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them? "Pursue them," he answered. "You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue." David did it right again and found strength in the LORD. He fought for the right reason, to rescue his people. He inquired of the LORD first. It was no by his strength, but by God's.

1 Samuel 29 Back To The Land
Verse 11 So David and his men got up early in the morning to go back to the land of the Philistines, and the Philistines went up to Jezreel. David obeyed authority right here and up to this point from what I just read.

1 Samuel 28 LORD Has Turned
Verse 16 Samuel said, "Why do you consult me, now that the LORD has turned away from you and become your enemy? When we disobey God there are consequences. It's called the valley of decision. All you can do is wait for judgement. We pay here on earth, but we don't have to pay eternally because Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. If we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord then we won't be separated from God. We can live a blessed life here on e

1 Samuel 27 No Longer Search
Verse 4 When Saul was told that David had fled to Gath, he no longer searched for him. Oh, how nice. That seems about right. Although, David got worse in this chapter. He should have not ran since he was going to be king. He ends up being married to multiple women and killing a ton of people. I do not hear him asking God what to do. It isn't clear here in this chapter. It was clear previously at one point. He was lying again too.

2 Peter 3 Repentance
Verse 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. God is kind if you have enough and some to spare. He did that to show you His love for you. The first shall be last and the last shall be first. He wants you to repent. I already did. I already do. Jesus is my Savior and Lord.

2 Peter 2 Slaves of Depravity
Verse 17 -19 These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words, and by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity- for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. They are prodigal piggies. They enjoy getting cleaned up and go

1 Samuel 25 His Name Is Fool
Verse 25 May the lord pay no attention to that wicked man Nabal. He is just like his name- his name is Fool, and folly goes with him. But as for me, your servant, I did not see the men my master sent. Just because our names may seem to mean something negative, it doesn't mean we need to live that way. If we are a new creation, then we are to live like God says to. Our lifestyle should be different than the world that doesn't know Jesus personally yet. Nabal could be a fool fo

2 Peter 1 Pay Attention
Verse 19 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. I definitely read the books of the prophets. I will continue to read through my Bible and have it read to me by others. It's my favorite.

1 Samuel 24 He Wept
Verse 16 When David finished saying this, Saul asked, "Is that your voice, David my son?" and he wept aloud. David never thought to hate Saul. Saul was hateful and prideful. He was a bad king. He disobeyed God constantly without regret or a care. He realized at this moment, he was wrong about David.

1 Peter 5 Be Self-Controlled And Alert
Verse 8-9 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the sane kind of sufferings. We learned this since we were kids. Being too busy and filling out minds up with sinful things can cloud our minds. We don't think straight and the enemy causes confusion and chaos on purpose because they love dar

1 Peter 4 Strange
Verse 4 They think it strange that you do not plunge with the into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. I do not know everything and I am imperfect, but there is a time to grow up and not repeat the same mistakes like a little child that needs to constantly be on timeout. It hurts others when I sin. I want to bless people around me.

Verse 17 Then the king ordered the guards at his side: "Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, because they too have sided with David. They knew he was fleeing, yet they did not tell me." But the King's officials were not willing to raise a hand to strike the priests of the LORD. 1 Peter 3 Made Alive
Verse 18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, Yup that's Good News, that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again (indeed) on the third day! We all need Him. The chapter starts with marriage then talks about being in harmony with all and goes deep into that. Then he talks about suffering for doing good and not to worry about the killer/miserable peop

1 Samuel 21 Trembled
Verse 1 David went to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest. Ahimelech trembled when he met him, and asked, "Why are you alone? Why is no one with you?" It wasn't normal for a kings servant to be alone. It was out of the ordinary and brought fear to the priest. When I saw the word "tremble", it made me look I to why. David let fear get the best of him. He knew already that he would be king and he still ran. Then he acted like a crazy weirdo in front of his enemies. It just keeps getti

Verse 31 As long as the son of Jesse lives on this earth, neither you nor your kingdom will be established. Now send and bring him to me, for he must die!" Saul was clearly NOT Spirit lead. Did he ask Samuel to ask God what to do? Nope! Do we walk by faith and by God's Word or do we walk our life with our own authority? Where do these thoughts come from?
