Verse 17 Then the king ordered the guards at his side: "Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, because they too have sided with David. They knew he was fleeing, yet they did not tell me." But the King's officials were not willing to raise a hand to strike the priests of the LORD.
James 3:16-18
For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
Things get real confusing, and it is best for me to step away from it all. God will deal with them. Study Psalm 1. There is no point of fighting for someone to take time for me. If they are not willing then they are also the problem. I need to be considerate and love first when someone is hurting. I can't expect others to do the same, but I can because it is my responsibility. I do not need someone to be a Saul, pure evil and obey them. God says go! I am definitely not called to be a king. David had more responsibility. I do not know my day or hour. It was not his time to go. He was going to be king.
