Verse 1 Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them" We will not always have life easy. Everyone's days are different, but will we still find pleasure in God before we die?

Verse 9 You who are young, be happy while you are young,     and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart     and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things     God will bring you into judgment. ---- The thing with Solomon, is He is not in line with God. He hasn't met Jesus yet. He only knew so much and possibly forgot all that God has done to forgive. Today we can be covered by Jesus' blood. We can say sorry directl

Verse 20 Do not revile the king even in your thoughts,     or curse the rich in your bedroom, because a bird in the sky may carry your words,     and a bird on the wing may report what you say. ----- If someone is a king then he is in leadership. He is immature if he gets angry easily. Here we have Solomon speaking words of wisdom with not saying the entire truth. He says do not, but he also forgets to do what God says is right. Gossip is also wrong.

Verses 13-18 Wisdom Better Than Folly 13  I also saw under the sun this example of wisdom that greatly impressed me: 14  There was once a small city with only a few people in it. And a powerful king came against it, surrounded it and built huge siege works against it. 15  Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom. Verses 2-3 Obey the king’s command, I say, because you took an oath before God.   Do not be in a hurry to leave the king’s presence. Do not stand up for a bad cause, for he will do whatever he pleases. Make sure to obey God's leadership because they are people and people are not nice like God is. Also, mostly God says so.

Verse 19-20 Wisdom makes one wise person more powerful    than ten rulers in a city.   Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins. I don't think any of us are powerful because it is God who directs people. Anything that looks like power is God for His purpose to glorify Himself. Verse 9 Better what the eye sees than the roving of the appetite... I know God's order for certain things in my life. But if others do not want to follow God then just stay put on the narrow road. Stay on the narrow road and do what is right in God's sight. I do not need to rove. I do not need to run to sin to fulfill me.

Verse 19-20 Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart. The writer was not in fellowship with the LORD at this time. I need to trust and obey Him first. If others aren't and are just enjoying life without His leading, I need to walk away and focus on Him alone. He comes first. Verse 13 I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness. If we keep digging in more to an issue, then we will get in the backslidden mentality. This verse is great and then he keeps on going and gets himself into trouble.

Verse 18 "For with much wisdom comes much sorrow;    the more knowledge, the more grief." The more we try to figure out ourselves, the worse we will feel and become. Go to God. Pray for His power and strength. Pray for His joy to be our strength. Spend time with Him. Pray for forgiveness and for Him to search our hearts. Get in fellowship with Him. Read His Word and study it until He reveals Himself to you. Obey Him. Don't try to follow your own heart and figure out life.

Verse 31 ...Remember me with favor, O my God. Nehemiah was t perfect, but he did want to follow God's order. He made things right that were wrong. He was a leader.

Verse 30 When the priests and Levites had purified themselves ceremonially, they purified the people, the gates and the wall. Leadership can't help if they themselves have not gone to Jesus for forgiveness. If they are out of fellowship with Jesus then how can they help their people? This is why it's important to have Jesus my leader because people fail me. Jesus doesn't fail me. He is always available and waiting for me. He is my dream come true that completes me and fulfill

Verse 2 The people commended all the men who volunteered to live in Jerusalem. I love God's people that are willing to jump in. We can't do everything, but some things are like giving out water. We should commend people that do that. It isn't easy for everyone to for different reasons.

Verse 39 The people of Israel, including the Levites, are to bring their contributions of grain, new wine and olive oil to the storerooms, where the articles for the sanctuary and for the ministering priests, the gatekeepers and the musicians are also kept. “We will not neglect the house of our God.” Be a cheerful giver.

Verse 19 “Because of your great compassion you did not abandon them in the wilderness. By day the pillar of cloud did not fail to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take. God is a forgiving God. He has compassion on His children. He takes care of us.

Verse 10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” God was happy to see His people in the Word and ready to obey. We should move forward and not stay crying. Be sorry and then remember God forgave us and forgot the sin. We don't need to dwell on it because we are a new creation.

Verse 3   I said to them, “The gates of Jerusalem are not to be opened until the sun is hot. While the gatekeepers are still on duty, have them shut the doors and bar them. Also appoint residents of Jerusalem as guards, some at their posts and some near their own houses.” I'm in Nehemiah 7 and it spoke on keeping the gates closed until the sun is hot. It reminds me of when some of us have fallen asleep spiritually and we need each other to keep each other burning hot like coa

Verse 9 They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.” But I prayed, “Now strengthen my hands.” It's important to pray.
