Verse 13 Then they took their bones and buried them under a tamarisk tree at Jabesh, and they fasted seven days.

War is awful. There are people who have to be there to bring in the dead and give them a proper burial. They mourned.

It makes me think of the spiritual dead. We needs to go in and and stand in the gap and pray. Some make it and some don't. Our job is not to fix them, but let God. Cry out to God for them.
