Verse 16 Samuel said, "Why do you consult me, now that the LORD has turned away from you and become your enemy?

When we disobey God there are consequences. It's called the valley of decision. All you can do is wait for judgement. We pay here on earth, but we don't have to pay eternally because Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. If we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord then we won't be separated from God. We can live a blessed life here on earth as we walk with Him in obedience. Our lives don't have to keep ending up in th valley of decision. What an awful way to live!
