Verse 17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. You are paid because you are honorable sticking to the Bible. Don't get caught up in culture. Before this it talked about widows and younger women not being busybodies going from house to house. Then it talks about elders in verse 17. We expect you leaders to be honorable and good examples sticking to the teaching of the Word and not

Verse 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Preserve in them, be cause if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. It says to devote yourself in public reading of scripture as well as preaching and teaching. It doesn't include gossip.

Verse 10 but with good deeds, appreciate for women who profess to worship God. I think I've had my fill of being single and the world being new. It's all nice and exciting, but it isn't fulfilling. It is better to help others than to focus on myself as far as staying busy. It's better to help teach my daughter than to leave her to have fancy things. This is my personal choice. Verse 15 Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the LORD, and you will know that the LORD Amighty has sent me to you. This will happen if you diligently obey the LORD your God. As Christians, we need to be in fellowship with Him. We can't be in sin. It grieves the Holy Spirit. Quickly say sorry and repent. Then beautiful things happen like a dream.

Verse 6 Some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they're talking about or what they so confidently affirm. Stay away from meaningless talk. It's a distraction from Jesus and His grace. It's the way of the world going down rabbit trails and causing division. Verse 3 And he said to me, "This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished. It is best to not steal nor swear falsely.

Verse 15 Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn him as a brother. In the days of social media and people that easily make a living from being a busybody, we need to warn each other to stay busy and work for the Lord in ways that are pleasing to Him. We all can easily fall for this snair. It's in our faces all day!

Verse 14 So he said, "These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth." We need God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It doesn't matter who the people are. They can be poor. They can have a bad history, but be a new creation with their sins forgiven. They can be highly esteemed people or people that others look down on. If they really listen to God and not man is the point. Are they lead by Jesus and the Holy Spirit or are they just following man and culture?

Verses 11-12 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. I already see this because that's how we are born. We are born into sin. We aren't meant to stay that way. Verse 10 "'In that day each of you will invite his neighbors to sit under his vine and fig tree, ' declares the LORD Almighty." Even if there is no real peace in this world, we still have Jesus and He offers us joy in the midst of trials. We can be content at any time by staying close with Him in obedience. We can invite others by sharing about Jesus. We can offer them the invitation to accept Jesus as their Savior and LORD too.

Verse 5 And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,' declares the LORD, 'and I will be its glory within.' Jesus does the work. I get to do the easy part. That's what husbands do. I am the Bride of Christ. With honor comes a price and Jesus paid the price for my sins. Thank you Jesus! Only Jesus gets the glory. He is the perfect sacrifice forever.

Verse 6 "But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your forefathers? "Then they repented and said, 'The LORD Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.' Verse 6 God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you. and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well... Be patient with everyone. I don't have to do anything to them. The Bible says I can walk away. I don't have to stay around people that don't follow God's Word. He will take vengeance.

Verse 19 Is there any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit. 'From this day on I will bless you.' That is nice to hear.

Verse 16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. This chapter gives us a lot of clear instructions. One way we can know we may be out of fellowship with Jesus is if we aren't joyful. Even in the storms, we can be content in the Lord. Our cups can still overflow. We just need to take time to pray and praise God. It may take a minute, but it is possible.

Verse 11-12 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
