Verse 14 The King and all the people with him arrived at their destination exhausted. And there he refreshed himself. When people are cursing me or I'm having a hard day, my choice of refreshment is spending time with Jesus. We shouldn't make anyone's life harder if we are Christian. We are to be blessings. Shimei was doing what non believers do. We can't change them and we know God is allowing that to refine us. We do not do not act that way.

Verse 14   Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” If we would all inquire of the LORD, then we would all be less panicky and make better decisions to honor God. Are we lead by our own thoughts or by the Holy Spirit? I do not see that David asked, He just made a decision

Verse 30   Then he said to his servants, “Look, Joab’s field is next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire. When someone is thinking of evil plans in his bed and asks others to join in the evil, it means they are unrepentant. Beware and stay away from them.

Verse 28   Absalom ordered his men, “Listen! When Amnon is in high spirits from drinking wine and I say to you, ‘Strike Amnon down,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I given you this order? Be strong and brave.” The Bible says do not listen to evil people that hurt others. It is not heroic to hurt others or to get even. God says vengeance is His. We don't do that. David knew what his son had done and didn't say anything to correct him and make things right. It is not o

Verse 25 and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah. Apparently, Solomon has two names. I learned something brand new today.

Verse 27 After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the Lord. We can displease God by the evil things we do. We know because God gave us a conscience. We know even more by reading His Word. We say sorry to Him and then others, so we are in fellowship again. We specifically say what we did if we want to be in fellowship with Him and others.

Verse 12 Be strong and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The LORD will do what is good in his sight " David was doing something nice, but the people thought evil of him. David had to go to war with them because of their decietful hearts. It shouldn't have been that way, but because they make stuff up in their heads, this is what happens.

Verse 1 David asked, "Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan's sake?" David kept his word to Jonathan. Jonathan was his dearest friend who was no longer alive.

Verse 14 He put garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites became subject to David. The LORD gave David victory wherever he went. I don't know or enjoy war and fighting, but God gave David victory.

Verse- 22 "How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ear. God loves when let Him know He is great. He is the only one worthy of praise.

Verse 22 I will became even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor. I'll look like a fool for God!

Verse 4 For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. These people will arrive when you are deeply in love with the LORD wanting to please Him. Be like Psalm 1 and do not sit, stand, nor walk with them. Keep learning, serving, praising, sharing and obeying God.

Verse 11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God. Who am I imitating? Am I doing what is right in God's sight or what is evil?

Verse 18- We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him. This is why we call it a relationship because we love spending time with Jesus. He helps us know what to do.

Verse 19 So David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me? The LORD answered him, "Go, for I will surely hand the Philistines over to you." David is doing well asking God what he should do.

Verse- 21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. If someone hates someone then they do not know God at all. That is another clue if someone is really saved or not. It is their fruit of knowing or not knowing God.

Verse 11 How much more- when wicked men have killed an innocent man in his own house and on his own bed- should I not now demand his blood from your hand and rid the earth of you!" This is about the death penalty. Back when we did this more, people had more fear in them. They have no fear because they get away with everything by man. They will pay and are with God though.

Verse 6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. That is how we know if someone if really sins, their fruit.

Verse 37 So on that day all the people and all Israel knew that the king had no part in the murder of Abner son of Ner. When we are connected with people, others tend to think we do what they do. It is true most times. Whoever we hang out with we can get pulled down to be like. God says to not associate with hot tempered men. It seems to be a theme for the Books of Samuel. What not to do is the theme a lot here. We are to learn from the bad examples and not do those things.

Verse 6 Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. This is a great chapter to remind me what it is to really be a Believer, and I can weed out someone who isn't quick, so life makes sense. It brings me back to Psalm 1.
