Verse 14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.”

If we would all inquire of the LORD, then we would all be less panicky and make better decisions to honor God. Are we lead by our own thoughts or by the Holy Spirit? I do not see that David asked, He just made a decision himself. Many servants have kings jobs. We can tell because of rash decisions. Hopefully they get wiser with time from God and not get worse.
