Titus 1 They Claim

Verse 16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.


Before this verse, Paul writes about what elders are to be. In contrast this is what they aren't to look like. They keep doing evil. Their fruit is bad. We need to walk the walk, not just talk. Our talk ends up obvious, they give themselves away with their speech if we are around them long enough. This is why it's important for us to stay in fellowship with Jesus. We too can be that way.
