Romans 6 Jesus Frees Us From Bondage of Sin

Romans 6:16 "Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey- whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or obedience, which leads to righteousness?

"

This still pertains to me because even though I am saved by Jesus, in this lifetime, I still have the choice to obey God and be blessed/be safe or to choose to walk up that other mountain- of curses that leads to pain for me and others. When I choose to sin, it is a catastrophic event. It affects everyone around me. I need to be careful for the sake of others because I do love everyone. I do need to be careful because I want to stay fearing God and I do not want to grieve the Holy Spirit. I want to be directed by Him and not anything else. I want a spiritually sober mind, so I can make clear and right choices. When we do wrong and know it, it is important to instantly go to Jesus and say sorry. When we listen to man rather than Jesus, we become enslaved and in bondage to the sin. It can take years to get out. That is a lot of wasted time putting ourselves in enslavement. No one is to blame, but ourselves because of our choice to sin.

You can also get out easily. Just pray to Jesus and say sorry. Next, choose to make right choices. Honor God by doing them, which He says in the Bible. Do what you know. One step at a time. Get help from a pastor that knows and shares/CELEBRATES the Good News regularly. If they do not say Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose (The Good News) then they may be out of fellowship with Jesus regularly. Find a pastor who says it clearly. That is what I am learning where help is. It starts with the Good News/Gospel, it is OF FIRST IMPORTANCE. The Good News keeps us FREE FROM BONDAGE OF SIN.

STEP 1 GET SAVED, SAY YES TO JESUS BEING OUR SAVIOR AND LORD/Agree with the Good News

STEP 2 CONTINUE SAYING SORRY DAILY WHILE GETTING CLEANSED IN THE WORD (if we want to grow up spiritually and having blessing on our lives and others lives around us) (if we do not want blessings then we are saying we want curses and will continue to disobey God and bring curses on ourselves and others around us). Why put ourselves back in bondage when Jesus came to free us from it?
