The best way to follow the authority/law is to clothe myself in Jesus. Whatever it is, make it about Jesus. If I do not then I get prideful and do not put others before myself. Authority is not exempt. If you read in the Old Testament, you'll see that even though some were used to chasten God's people, the enemy was not exempt from their responsibility to follow God too.
