Verse 3-4 Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs- he wants to please his commanding officer.

We need to protect our pastors and not ask them to get involved in worldly nonsense. They need to stay pure and focused on the Word, so we can get taught. Let the others take care of those things if it must happen.
