2 Samuel 24 Altar, Burnt, and Fellowship

Verse 25 David built an altar to the Lord there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the Lord answered his prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.

When David had a contrite heart, He apologized to God. The prophet told Him what God said to do which was to build an altar. That means today to get cleansed by Jesus through blood and water. Accept Jesus as you Savior and LORD and thereafter continue having a soft child-like heart and be sorry and repent. Know what is required of you to obey and continue being pure by studying our Bibles. He also showed everyone what he did wrong by publicly making that altar, and sacrificing burnt and fellowship offerings. We can never be the perfect burnt offering, Jesus is. We can be totally consumed serving the LORD, but we have sin, so we always go back down to saying sorry. Fellowship offering is sharing that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose and whatever else you want to share to explain. Study the first few chapters of Acts, if really shows how it was done, but I can tell you the Good News was in there mixes with the bad news!!!!!
