Verse 29 honey and curds, sheep, and cheese from cows’ milk for David and his people to eat. For they said, “The people have become exhausted and hungry and thirsty in the wilderness.”

After all that nonsense drama, David and his people were cared for with bedding and food. We can see when others have been in the wilderness and the best thing to do is to give them the Word.
