But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. -Verse 14
Only when we accept that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose (accepting Jesus as Savior alone and LORD of our lives) then we can be empowered to get out of bondage of sin. If we had accepted Him, but chose to live on the mountain of curses, then we are going to have to climb all the way up and go say sorry and ask for forgiveness and repent of that sin. Then we can start over and be on the mountain of blessings. We do need to be careful with the choices we make. We will be going back and forth the rest of our lives, but hopefully we do not delay or we will reap blessings or those horrible curses.
You really learn these things reading the Old Testament too. You will understand reading through your entire Bible and do it alone. Go to church, but spend time with Jesus praying and reading your Bibles. Sing to Him too.
