verses 14-16 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?
We only know because we are saved by Jesus dying on the cross for us, being buried, and rising. We then continue to choose to be in fellowship by saying sorry and repenting. He helps us to be in the Word and learn what He has set out on the table for us, so we can live a blessed life and glorify Him. We allow Him to be our Savior and Lord daily. We go to Him alone as our Helper. We need Him to cleanse us and correct us. We need to be rebuked for correct living in accordance to what's right in His sight, not our own ideas. Then we are ready to serve Him when we are in fellowship with Him and others. We can celebrate the first importance/Good News together and share with those who do not know Him yet. That is the fragrance that pleases God, what His Son did for us in obedience. Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17. God said in Matthew 3:17 "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." Jesus is the Word, so we better be in it to see what pleases God and obey. Do not be ignorant. Be obedient. Say sorry when we fall short immediately, DO NOT GIVE SATAN A FOOTHOLD. It isn't worth being put into bondage again. Rely on Jesus and not people. It will take you much longer to simply repent.
