1 Thessalonians 3 Your Faith

Verse 2 We sent Timothy, who is our brother and God's fellow worker in spreading the Gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials.

There will be trials in life. There will be people who tempt us to go down like they are miserable in sin. God brings people to us to encourage us and not to discourage us. The ones that are in bondage do that to us, that's how we know. Jesus doesn't do that and neither do His followers. They are smile makers and fun! God wants us to be ready and so do His followers; they lead us to purity. They do not ensnare us in lies. If you find yourself there, you are safer walking away and obeying God. It's a simple sorry to Jesus. He is willing to forgive with open arms. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose. He came first and we are to be an example of Him. Love our neighbors. Show them the Way.
