This goes well with yesterday's Ezekiel reading about idolatry in the temple. We are carnal Christians if we are lifting anyone high in Jesus' place. If we are worshipping anyone or anything we are out of fellowship with God or not saved at all. We all always need a reset, so don't think anyone has hit the top of the tier, only Jesus has ever.
