Back in 2001, I moved with my aunt Bridget to Ontario, CA. I was fresh out of high school and had a dream to create because, well, I lived with and adored this creative woman. I woke up one morning before going to work at Planet Beauty and left a note for her. I must have been up all night failing at an idea of turning my web cam selfie print out into a kitty. Yes, I had an obsession with the movie Josie and the Pussy Cats so it makes total sense... I also had a cat named Cleo that I left behind when I moved with her. I used to say I didn't like cats because I was scared to touch them for fear of being scratched. So I came up with Kill the Kitty but I secretly loved them as well. They are just too cute and look so cuddly and I am not able to squeeze them without getting hurt... I guess I hadn't met the right kitty yet to love. I did love Cleo anyway.

I also realized while reading my bible that Romans talks about me doing what I don't want to. It isn't me who does it but the sin that lives in me since I am covered with Jesus' blood. As I circle through the bible I am washed because I am one dirty person in this current body... and forgetful and at times not on the guard against the wiles of the devil. As I stay in the Word daily and pray, I am more aware and sensitive to sin. It is real and I am to take God's Word seriously because I can easily fall into a lifestyle that is against His plan for me. I don't want to ever live with regret and be separated from Him eternally. This year the word Hearken has been huge. It ties in with the ears, as we all know our mouths had masks on them but our ears and eyes were fully in use. Watch and see what the LORD is doing and listen to His words and see them as well...we still have that! I am to speak less and listen more to Him.
